World Resources Institute (WRI) names WMI Board Member, Wanjira Maathai, as its Regional Director for Africa and Vice-President

In this role, Wanjira will be responsible for the design and implementation of World Resources Institute’s Africa overall strategy. She will lead WRI’s growing portfolio across the continent, building on projects and initiatives in over 20 countries.

Wangari Maathai Institute Supports Mr. Reuben Omega’s Research on “Analysis of Determinants of Adoption of Clean Energy Cooking Technologies and Energy Sources in Kibera” from the Department of Agricultural Economics

Prof. David Mungai, Director, Wangari Maathai Institute received a copy of masters thesis from Mr. Rueben Omega on January 7, 2019. Mr Omega was a student at the Department of Agricultural economics, University of Nairobi. He was awarded the degree of Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics during the 62nd graduation ceremony of the University of Nairobi on December 20, 2019.

Prof. David N. Mungai, Director WMI, presented four (4) graduands from the Wangari Maathai Institute during the 62nd graduation ceremony held at the University of Nairobi on December 20, 2019.
