"We are delighted to announce that Wyss Academy Hub East Africa Director Dr. Benson Okita was in Nairobi on 20th November 2023, to shake hands with the University of Nairobi,  Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama Gitahi on a collaboration agreement domiciled at Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies (WMI), University of Nairobi (UoN). The handshake marks the signing of a Collaborative Framework between the two institutions that will form the basis for collaboration in such areas as Biodiversity, Water, Climate Change, Sustainability  and Environmental Governance.

Environmental Institute of Kenya leadership led by the Chair, Mr. Alex Mugambi and CEO Mr. Ronald Kimtai visited Wangari Maathai Institute on 19th October 2023 to explore continued collaboration.
