Taking place during the Africa Climate Summit, this High-Level Intergenerational Dialogue co-convened by GCA and the Wangari Maathai Institute, will bring together global leaders, young people and students from across Africa to drive adaptation action.
Event description:
The Dialogue will bring together global leaders including a representative of H.E. President William Ruto, students and young people from across Africa to bring the voices of young people to the Africa Climate Summit and beyond.
Key objectives:
- Empower African youth leadership and unlock adaptation jobs and youth entrepreneurship by showcasing African youth solutions, including the YouthADAPT winners.
- Champion adaptation education and youth views in adaptation policies, including by launching the Toolkit for Youth on Adaptation & Leadership.
- Announce new partnerships in support of the youth- & education-related and other objectives of the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP).The two-hour High-Level Dialogue will feature panel interventions from global leaders, young people including students and entrepreneurs, as well as policy- and decision-makers.
