The University of Nairobi was born on 1 July, 1970 and has therefore turned 50. The University Management has mandated several activities to be included in the golden jubilee celebrations at various levels. One of the activities is holding of webinars on research breakthroughs at the University of Nairobi as well as topical subjects involving local, national and global challenges and opportunities.
We are delighted to invite you to the first webinar by the Distinguished Chair at the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies (WMI), Prof. Kazuhiko Takeuchi, to be held on Wednesday 23rd September, 2020 from 2pm. The title of the webinar is "Establishing a Decentralized and Connected Society for Localizing SDGs in the Face of Covid-19". The panelists will be Prof. R. Rukwaro (Principal, College of Architecture and Engineering, University of Nairobi) and Prof. Ratemo Michieka (Former Vice Chancellor and Professor of crop protection and environmental sciences, University of Nairobi).
