Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies a fruitful STAKE project Synthesis Book Writeshop at the Luke Hotel in Nairobi between October 10-14, 2016. The writeshop was held in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen team, Green Belt Movement and Kenya Forest Research Institute. Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies continues to engage experts in sharing their experiences with the postgraduate students with an aim of producing holistic graduates. On October 11, 2016, Dr. Mwangi Githuri, the Director of Biodiversity and Social Monitoring at Wildlife Works, leading teams assessing environmental and social impacts of REDD+ projects in Africa, gave a thrilling seminar on Implementing Redd+: Policy and practical issues from the local to the national levels. This seminar was held at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Small Pathology Lecture Theatre.
