|C. Mwangi delivering a seminar to WMI postgraduate students|
Experts’ input remains critical in producing holistic graduates. The Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies continues create forums through which the postgraduate students are exposed to experiences and insight from experts drawn from diverse industries. On April 12, 2017, the Institute held an insightful seminar on Global Learning & Observations to Benefit the Environment (Globe) Program – Introduction & Current Initiatives held at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in the Small Pathology Lecture Theatre. The seminar was delivered by Charles Mwangi, the Deputy Country Coordinator for the GLOBE Program in Kenya and a member of the GLOBE Program Technology Working Group representing the Africa region. GLOBE Program is an international science and education program which supports students, teachers, and scientists in research collaborations using inquiry-based investigations of the environment and the earth system.
