The Launch and Grow is women’s entrepreneurs’ mentorship program whose second phase is currently being implemented by the institute in collaboration with the Fundacion Mujeres Por Africa (FMxA). This program involves a mentorship process on finance, growth and corporate governance for 14 women entrepreneurs’ beneficiaries of the project. The finance local workshop was successfully hosted by the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies on March 20, 2017 at the Principal’s Boardroom, Upper Kabete Campus. It provided an opportunity for the entrepreneurs to interact with experts, particularly in finance, who were drawn from the Kenya Women Microfinance Bank (KWFT), Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and lead by Dr. M. Iraya. This workshop was a follow up on the finance webinar session that was facilitated by Babson College.
